* For the year 2000, the ILO projects that there will be 53,000 economically active children between the ages of 10-14, representing 2.35% of this age group. * 9.8% of the total child population between 10-14 years are economically active. This constitutes 4.8% of the total labour force. (ILO-IPEC, Amal Dibo, Child Labour in Few Countries of the Arab Region, 1999)
