MEET A CHILD
William, ten years old, was abducted by rebellions. “It was at seven p.m. when rebels came and took two of us, me and my older brother from our house. They beat us, then they made me carry some radios and carry the commander's gun. It was heavy. We joined a big group and we walked very far, and my feet were very swollen. At night, we stopped to rest, and they beat us--they used a bicycle chain to beat us. The next morning we came to the government soldiers when we were walking. They were firing at us. We ran with the luggage. My eldest brother tried to escape but the rebels caught him and killed. He was beaten on the back of the head with a club. I watched him being killed. His tipu (spirit) came to me and covered me and told me, "Today, I am dead." William has now managed to escape.
