We envision to make the world a Child Labour Free Zone!
Global March moves beyond isolated interventions to tackle the root causes of child labour through a holistic and systemic approach. At the heart of our work is the vision of Child Labour Free Zones—scalable, community-driven models that emerge from the convergence of grassroots mobilisation, policy advocacy, and structural reform.
WE FOCUS ON
While the Area-Based Approach (ABA)—such as the creation of Child Labour Free Zones—remains a cornerstone of our strategy, it functions within a broader ecosystem of change. This ecosystem requires coordinated, cross-sectoral action at local, national, and global levels. By collaborating with various stakeholders from local farmers to international buyers, the ABA aims to remove barriers to ending child labour and facilitating children’s return to school. This comprehensive approach addresses sectors like cocoa, coffee, tea, textiles, and informal sectors such as domestic work. A core principle is mobilizing communities and institutions around the best interests of the child, emphasizing shared responsibility among stakeholders at all levels, from local to international.
