Global March MDG Petition

Global March organised a petition calling on the international community to support the development of relevant child labour indicators and would like to thank those individuals and organisations which have signed it and sometimes placed the petition on their own web sites. However, we need to significantly increase the number of signatories prior to handing over the petition to the UN Secretary-General. By the end of September 2010, around 2,000 signatures have been collected, but we would like to increase that number to around 10,000. We will then include the petition in a letter to the Secretary-General calling for child labour indicators to be established as soon as possible.

In this respect, we call on all members, partners and supporters to sign the petition and encourage as many others as possible to do the same.
